Brazos River Steamboat Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. white corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar, eggs, corn syrup, vanilla, margarine and salt.
    Add pecans.
    Pour into 9-inch unbaked pastry shell.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Serve with whipping cream or Cool Whip.
