White Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
    3 egg whites
    1/2 lb. nut meats (pecans)
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 lb. shredded coconut
    1/2 lb. finely chopped citron
    1 c. white raisins
    1 c. maraschino cherries, drained
    1 c. candied pineapple
    grated rind of 1 lemon or orange
Preparation
    Sift sugar. Cream together sugar and butter until fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, milk, salt, extract and rind. Flour fruit in a little extra flour. Add to mix. Add nuts. Grease tube pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
