Seafoam Nut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cold water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. chocolate bits
1/2 c. nuts
2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. brown sugar

Preparation

Mix flour,
salt, baking powder and soda.
Cream shortening, sugar, 1/2\tcup
brown
sugar,
water and vanilla.\tAdd milk and mix
together with dry ingredients.
Spread into a 15 x 10-inch greased pan.
Sprinkle chocolate bits over top.
