Shish Kabob Marinade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope California dry onion soup mix
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    dash of hot sauce
Preparation
    Mix ingredients; simmer in a saucepan over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, or microwave 7 or 8 minutes, stirring once.
    Let cool.
    Pour over meat (deboned chicken breasts, link sausage or steak).
    Marinate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
