Fried Fruit Pies - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
1 pinch salt
1 pinch sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 qt. fruit of choice
Preparation

Begin by making pastry as follows:
Sift flour with salt, also sugar.
Fold in 2/3 cup of shortening and slowly add enough cold water to form a stiff paste.
