German Chocolate Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites (room temperature)
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, salt and cream of tartar and beat until foamy.
    Add sugar, two tablespoons at a time, beating after each addition until all is well blended. Continue beating until mixture stands in a stiff peak.
    Fold in nuts and vanilla.
    Spoon into lightly greased 8-inch pie pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
