Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. warm beer or water
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 beaten egg
    coarse salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm beer.
    Add flour and mix; knead for 10 minutes.
    Let rise, covered, in warm place for 1 hour until doubled.
    Shape and place on greased cookie sheet.
    Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle on coarse salt.
    Bake at 475\u00b0 until brown, approximately 12 minutes.
