Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. flour
    2 lb. round steak
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
Preparation
    Combine flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; pound into meat.
    Brown meat on both sides.
    Top with cut up onion and tomatoes.
    Cover; cook over low heat 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Add green pepper; cook 15 more minutes.
    Thicken juice if desired. Season to taste.
    Makes 6 servings.
