Plain Ole' Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal (all-purpose)
1 1/4 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening or oil
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together.
Add egg and milk.
Mix well. Heat oil in iron skillet until hot.
Pour mixture into skillet and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
