Chau-Chau - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. green tomatoes
    2 qt. small onions
    3 cauliflowers (celery or cabbage), chopped fine
    3 cucumbers
    6 large red peppers
    2 qt. yellow string beans
    1 lb. salt
    5 pt. cider vinegar
    1/2 oz. celery seed
    4 oz. ground mustard
    1/4 oz. turmeric
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Celery or cabbage may be substituted for cauliflower.
    Chop fine.
    Let stand overnight in brine made of salt in 5 quarts water.
