Shoe Peg Corn Pea Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. white sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. cooking oil
1 can drained Shoe Peg corn
1 can drained French-style beans
1 small jar pimentos
1 can water chestnuts
1 can drained small peas
1 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 c. chopped onions
3/4 c. chopped celery
Preparation

Combine in saucepan and bring to a boil the first 6 ingredients.
Cool.
Combine all other ingredients and pour cooled vinegar over all.
Chill overnight.
Makes sizable amount.
