No-Cook Mint Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter, softened
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. peppermint extract
1/2 tsp. salt
about 1 lb. (4 3/4 c.) sifted powdered sugar
1 drop each: red and green food coloring
Preparation

Thoroughly blend butter, corn syrup, extract and salt in large mixing bowl.
Add sugar; mix with spoon and hands until blended smooth.
Divide mixture into thirds.
Knead red coloring into one portion of mixture and green coloring into another, leaving one portion white.
Shape into round balls; flatten with tines of fork on wax paper lined baking sheets.
Let dry several hours.
Makes 6 dozen.
