Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
    1/4 c. sugar plus 2 Tbsp.
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 1/2 to 3 3/4 c. flour
    butter, melted
Preparation
    In medium mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and add 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Stir in 1/4 cup sugar, salt, egg, shortening and approximately 1/2 of the flour.
    Beat with spoon until smooth. Mix in enough flour to make dough easy to handle.
    Turn dough onto floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Let rise in greased bowl, covered until doubled.
    Punch down.
    Let rise again until doubled.
    Shape into rolls; brush with melted butter and cover.
    Let rise 30 minutes.
    Bake 12 minutes at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Remove from oven and brush with butter.
