Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter
well,
adding
sugar
gradually.
Add egg yolks, well
beaten,
and flavoring.
Pour into unbaked pastry shells and bake
in moderate oven until firm and brown.
Cover with meringue made
from the remaining egg whites and slightly brown.
This makes 2 pies.
