Basil Cream Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. fresh garden lettuce (may be a mixture of butter lettuce, Boston lettuce and leaf lettuce)
    4 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves or 2 tsp. dried basil leaves
    7 Tbsp. whipping cream
    3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
    Wash and dry the greens.
    Turn whole leaves into a wide salad bowl.
    Finely mince the fresh basil leaves.
    Sprinkle over the greens.
    Cover and chill until ready to serve.
