Coffee Meringue Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 egg whites, at room temperature
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ground mace
coffee butter cream
Preparation

Beat egg whites in a bowl until foamy.
Add cream of tartar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
Add sugar gradually, beating well after each addition.
Add flavorings.
Beat for 2 more minutes. Cut four 8-inch circles from parchment.
Pipe meringue into 4 equal circles; spread evenly with spatula.
Place on baking sheets.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Cool.
Remove parchment.
Spread coffee butter cream between layers.
Garnish top and side with whipped cream and dusting of cocoa over top. Serve within 2 hours.
Serves 16.
