Hamburger Rice Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef (do not fry)
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. precooked rice
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, 1 teaspoon salt, oregano, pepper and 1/2 cup tomato sauce; mix well.
    Pat mixture firmly over bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate; pinch flutings around edge and set aside.
    Combine rice, water, 1/4 cup cheese, remaining tomato sauce and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
    Pour into meat shell.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes, then sprinkle on remaining cheese.
    Bake another 10 to 15 minutes.
    Cut into wedges.
