Rutabaga Au Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. diced rutabaga
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. bread crumbs
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan.
Add water to cover and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 12 to 15 minutes.
Melt butter in saucepan, add flour and milk until thickened and bubbly.
Add salt, pepper and cheese until it melts.
Stir in drained turnips and put in a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart glass casserole.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
