Never Fail Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. milk, scalded
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat eggs, sugar, salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla in bowl.
Heat 3 cups milk in a large saucepan and here is the secret of success or failure.
Let the milk come right up side of pan.
Watch it very close as it may cook over pan, then add hot milk slowly to ingredients and pour in unbaked crust.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle top of pie with nutmeg before baking if desired.
