Peach Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 pounds cling peaches
    1 qt vinegar
    8 cups sugar
    1 tsp allspice
    1/2 tsp whole cloves
    1 large stick cinnamon (broken into bits)
Preparation
    Dip peaches into boiling water for 30 seconds to loosen skins.
    Cool in cold water; drain.
    Place in 4 qt bowl containing 1 1/2 T salt and 2 qts water to prevent darkening.
    Drain just before using.
