Valley Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. cabbage, shredded
1/2 gal. sliced green tomatoes
1 qt. onions, sliced
4 Tbsp. mustard seed
2 Tbsp. ginger
2 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. black pepper
2 Tbsp. turmeric
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
3 lb. brown sugar (white may be used)
1/2 gal. vinegar
Preparation

Mix well and boil for 20 minutes. Less vinegar will do. I add 1 tablespoon celery seed to mine. Seal while hot.
