Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/2 c. Crisco
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 oz. coconut
Preparation
    Cream
    the
    margarine,\tCrisco and sugar together until fluffy.
    Add
    egg
    yolks,
    one
    at a time, and beat well after each.
    Sift
    flour\tand
    measure.
    Add salt and soda to flour. Add flour
    and
    buttermilk alternately to sugar mixture.
    Add coconut and
    vanilla.
    Beat
    well.
    Beat egg whites stiff and carefully fold
    into\tmixture.
    Bake\t25 minutes at 350\u00b0 in 3 greased and lined 9-inch pans.\tCool before icing.
