Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, finely diced
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. finely diced celery
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    10 fresh clams, finely chopped (juices strained)
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 qt. boiling water
    1 c. finely diced carrots
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. canned tomatoes
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Fry bacon until golden.
    Add water.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Add salt and vegetables, except potatoes.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Add potatoes, tomatoes, pepper and thyme.
    Cook 20 minutes.
    Add clams and juice.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Thicken with flour and water.
