Boiled Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. corned beef
    6 small whole carrots
    6 diced turnips
    6 whole small potatoes
    6 small whole onions
    1 head cabbage (in wedges)
Preparation
    Cover beef with cold water; bring to boiling.
    Simmer slowly, 40 to 50 minutes per pound, about 3 1/2 hours.
    Add carrots, turnips, potatoes and onions 1/2 hour before beef is done.
    Add cabbage for last 15 minutes.
