Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. chopped pears
    1 lemon, sliced
    1 small can pineapple (optional)
    5 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Wash, core, pare, finely chop or grind and measure pears.
    Add lemon, sugar, ginger, pineapple and 1/3 cup water to pears.
    Boil until thick.
    Pour boiling hot into hot jars.
    Seal.
