Apple Rings For Garnishing Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1/3 lemon, sliced
    1/2 tsp. red food coloring
    3 apples
Preparation
    Wash and cut apples crosswise into rings, leaving skin and core.
    Boil sugar and water until syrup spins a thread; add coloring, then fruit.
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Skim out rings separately and serve cold.
    Yield:
    12 rings.
