Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Mix together sugar, flour, spices, soda and shortening.
Blend in the boiling water.
Beat eggs; pour in molasses and eggs.
Beat well.
Bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Let cool in pan before taking out of pan.
