Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 egg
    3 large onions, peeled
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift 3/4 cup flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a bowl; add milk, oil and egg; beat until smooth to make a batter. Heat oil
    1/2 inch deep in a heavy skillet or use a deep fryer.
    Cut onions into 1/4 inch thick slices and separate into rings.
    Put 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bag and drop in onion rings and
    shake to coat.
