Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 bunches broccoli
    1 small red onion or 1 1/2 to 2-inch slice large onion
    1 (12 or 16 oz.) pkg. bacon, fried crisp and broken into bite-size
    1 (8 to 12 oz.) pkg. shredded cheese (Mozzarella or Swiss)
Preparation
    Cut broccoli up fine; peel parts of stalk and dice thin into salad.
    Combine 1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing (I use Hellmann's real mayonnaise) and 1/2 cup sugar and mix together. Pour over salad.
    Let stand in refrigerator 4 hours before serving.
