Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. cold water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup and cold water into a large saucepan and cook until it forms a soft ball.
    Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour in 1/2 of syrup mixture and continue cooking other half until it reaches a hard ball stage.
    Add egg whites to mix and vanilla.
    Continue beating until candy is thick enough to drop from spoon.
    Drop 1 spoonful at a time onto wax paper and allow to cool.
    Cover and store in an airtight container.
