Sauerkraut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. drained kraut
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients with shortening, then add syrup, vanilla, eggs, water and kraut.
    Beat at medium speed until smooth.
    Pour into 2 (9-inch) greased and floured pans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Icing is optional.
