Pasta And Bacon Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. whole wheat or regular pasta twists
    1/2 lb. lean bacon
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 onion, diced
    2 to 4 Tbsp. vinegar
    pinch of cayenne pepper
    1 small endive, cut into thin strips
    1/2 c. chopped fresh chives or 1 Tbsp. dried chives
Preparation
    Cook pasta in boiling, salted water until just tender following package directions; drain.
    Cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towels.
    Heat oil in saucepan.
    Add onion and saute until translucent.
    Remove from heat; add vinegar and cayenne pepper.
    Mix pasta, endive, chives and warm dressing together in salad bowl.
    Sprinkle with crisp bacon and serve at once.
