Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 apples, peeled and cored
    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. cold water
    sugar
    cinnamon
    butter
Preparation
    Cut Crisco and salt into flour until smaller than dime size lumps.
    Add cold water.
    Divide dough into 8 pieces and roll out. Place apple in center of each crust; fill center of apple with sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Put 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon butter on top.
    Cover with pie dough.
    Place in pan; bake until light brown.
    Serve hot with cold milk.
