Delmonico Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. flake coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening well; add sugar, egg yolks and flour combined with soda, alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla, coconut and nuts. Fold in egg whites. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
