Sopaipillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. warm water
Preparation
    Sift
    dry
    ingredients\ttogether and cut in shortening. Mix with
    warm\twater.\tTurn
    out
    and\tknead 5 minutes until smooth and
    elastic.
    Let\tstand
    in bowl 30 minutes covered. Roll
    out to\t18
    x 6-inch rectangle.
    Cut in 3-inch squares. Put oil
    in deep,
    heavy
    pan.\tHeat to 375\u00b0.
    Fry a few at a time,
    being careful not to crowd them during cooking.
    These will
    puff
    and you
    tear off a corner and fill with honey or syrup or whatever you like and eat.
