Cracker Barrel Hash Browns - cooking recipe

20 oz. bag frozen shoestring potatoes, thawed a bit and broken up
1/2 c. melted margarine
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 c. grated Colby cheese
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Spray pan (12 x 12 x 4-inch or 9 x 13-inch) with Pam.
In large bowl, combine soup, margarine, salt, pepper, onion and cheese.
Gently mix in potatoes and pour into prepared dish or pan.
Bake, uncovered, for 35 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
If not brown enough, place under broiler.
