Party Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf sheepherder bread
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 bunch green onions, chopped
    12 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
    8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
    1 pt. sour cream
    12 oz. grated mild or medium sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (10 oz.) can artichoke hearts (water packed), drained and cut into quarters
    6 small French rolls, thinly sliced, but not all the way through
Preparation
    Cut hole in top of bread about 5-inches in diameter.
    Remove soft bread from cut portion and discard.
    Reserve crust.
    Scoop out most of the soft bread inside portion of loaf.
