German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. butter
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk (14 oz. can)
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Cool Whip (optional)
Preparation

Melt butter and cocoa together in a large saucepan.
Turn off heat; add sugar and eggs.
Mix together; add cornstarch and mix. Add vanilla and milk.
Stir together.
Cook over medium heat, stirring with a spatula because it sticks and burns easily once it starts thickening.
Stir constantly.
When thickened, pour in pie shell.
Add nuts before pouring, if desired.
Garnish with Cool Whip before serving.
Very rich.
