Sussex County Slick Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    7/8 c. HOT water
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt and shortening with fingers until all lumps disappear.
    Add hot water gradually to make a soft dough.
    Roll out to desired thickness and cut into 4 inch squares.
    Cook approximately 15 minutes in boiling broth.
