Almost Homemade Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. salt pork, cubed
    1/2 tsp. ground mustard
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. tomato puree
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1/4 c. water
    1 medium sized onion, chopped
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 cans navy or Great Northern beans, drained (15 oz. cans)
Preparation
    In a heavy-duty 4-quart pot, lightly brown the salt pork.
    Add the chopped onion and fry until clear.
    Add mustard, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and tomato puree.
    Stir well and simmer about 5 minutes.
    Add the drained beans, stirring gently to avoid breaking or mashing them.
    Simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
    (I sometimes use a bean pot in microwave, 15 minutes on High.)
