Ingredients

1 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. Karo syrup
3 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix well the buttermilk, soda, sugar and salt.
Pour over Karo syrup.
Cook 6 to 7 minutes, until it begins to boil.
Take off and beat until creamy.
Add nuts; continue beating until spreading consistency.
Spread on a buttered dish.
Cut immediately.
