Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar (white)
    2/3 c. dark Karo
    1/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil sugar, salt, Karo syrup and water together until they form a hard mass in cold water.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually blend with syrup mixture, beating constantly.
    When mixture begins to stiffen, add nuts and drop from teaspoon onto greased plate.
    Candied cherries make a pleasing addition.
