Roasted Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. onion powder
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    3/4 tsp. cayenne powder
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (3 lb.) chicken
    1 c. chopped onion
Preparation
    In bowl, combine seasonings.
    Rub in chicken, inside and out, patting mixture to evenly distribute deep in skin.
    Place in sealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate, covered, overnight. Place onion in bird cavity.
    Roast, uncovered, at 250\u00b0 for about 5 hours, basting occasionally, with pan juices or until pan juices start to caramelize on bottom of pan and chicken is golden brown. Makes 4 servings.
