Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. plain flour
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco until fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time; beat 1 minute.
    Mix cocoa and coloring in a cup to make a paste. Add to creamed mixture.
    Add salt and vanilla.
    Add flour (sift 3 times) and milk alternately.
    Sprinkle soda over batter; then pour vinegar over batter and stir until well blended.
    Do not beat after adding soda and vinegar.
    Bake in 3 layer pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
