Ruth'S Pepperkocker - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 beaten egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and molasses.
    Blend well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix well and chill.
    Roll small amount at a time to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface and cut into circles or roll into small balls and flatten to 1/4-inch with the bottom of a glass.
    Bake at 360\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Dough can be frozen and baked later.
