Banana Split Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed
3/4 c. confectioners sugar
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
5 bananas
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (13 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
1 c. chopped nuts
maraschino cherries
Preparation

Combine vanilla wafers and 3/4 cup melted butter.
Mix well and press onto bottom and sides of ???-inch pan or two 8-inch pans.
Combine confectioners sugar, soft butter and eggs.
Beat on high speed for 15 minutes. Do not overbeat.
Spread over crust. Top with sliced bananas. Cover with pineapple. Spread Cool Whip over fruit. Sprinkle with nuts.
Chill overnight. Cut in squares and serve. Serves 16 to 20 people.
Garnish with maraschino cherries.
