Baked Barley - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 stick oleo
    1 box barley
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    2 cans Swanson beef bouillon
    pepper to taste
    oregano to taste
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients and brown well.
    Add 1/2 cup slivered almonds, bouillon, pepper and oregano to taste.
    Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Check and stir after 1/2 hour.
    Mix should be dry in appearance.
