Guiltless Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. wheat flour
    1 c. white flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. natural applesauce
    1/2 c. honey
    1 egg white (no yolk!)
    1 c. raisins (baking raisins are preferred)
    1 small apple, peeled and diced (optional)
    4 to 5 Tbsp. fat-free or low-fat plain or vanilla yogurt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Combine first four ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
    Cut in applesauce; cut until crumbly.
    Add honey, egg white and vanilla and mix.
    Add fruit and mix. Gradually add 1 tablespoon a time, the yogurt, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
    Dough should be lumpy and cling to bowl and spoon.
    Place dough on greased cookie sheet, forming each scone similar to that of a biscuit, round, about 3 to 4-inches in diameter.
    Cook until golden brown.
    Scones will have a muffin texture.
    Makes 8 to 10 scones.
