Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    salt pork
    2 medium onions, chopped
    3 or 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    1/2 c. water
    1 can (1 lb.) cream-style corn
    1 can (1 lb.) whole kernel corn
    1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/2 c. whole milk
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook salt pork in bottom of kettle.
    Add onions, potatoes and water.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Add corn.
    Simmer 5 minutes longer. Stir in milk, butter, salt and pepper.
    Heat.
    Don't boil.
    Remove salt pork.
