Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    6 c. cored, peeled, thinly sliced apples
    2 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 2/3 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cold butter
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. each: melted butter and sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 cup butter in 9-inch square or 11 x 7-inch baking pan at 450\u00b0.
